FOX 11 PREMIERS 30‐MINUTE SPECIAL ON LEGENDARY AVIATOR AND ANGELINO CLAY LACY ON NOV. 16
Veteran and award‐winning broadcaster Carlos Amezcua goes behind the hangar doors to reveal more about the pilot whom Neil Armstrong called the “master of the air.”

(Van Nuys, Calif. ‐ Nov. 12, 2012) Join KTTV FOX 11’s Carlos Amezcua on Friday, Nov. 16 at 10:30 p.m. as he gets to know legendary aviator and Angelino Clay Lacy.

From world records and national air races, to helping film some of Hollywood’s most memorable flying scenes, Lacy has done it all. The 30‐minute special offers a rare chance to come fly, laugh and hear stories from a man who turned his passion and love of flight into a lifelong adventure full of amazing accomplishments.

An airline captain, experimental test pilot, air race champion, aviation record‐setter, aerial cinematographer and entrepreneur, Lacy has touched upon more aspects of aviation that any other pilot. Over the past six decades, he has flown more than 300 aircraft types, set 29 world speed records, performed over 2,500 aerial photography film missions and logged over 50,000 flight hours.

In 1964, Lacy flew the first Learjet into Van Nuys Airport to shape a new era in corporate air transportation and mobility.  Four years later he founded Clay Lacy Aviation (CLA) as the first jet charter company on the West Coast, now distinguished as the most experienced operator of private jets in the world.

Throughout his flying career, Lacy has also accumulated more hours flying jet aircraft than anyone on Earth.  He is an inductee to the National Aviation Hall of Fame and the recipient of countless other honors and awards.
